Meet The Owner
Tom Cerniello is the Founder and CEO of Total Business Brokers with over 40 years of business experience.
Tom has been married for over 35 years is a father of three wonderful children two daughters and son.
He has started numerous successful companies across the United States and has been involved in both the buying and selling sides of multiple businesses, sales, and acquisitions.
This gives him a deep understanding of the intricacies involved in transactions, allowing him to support his clients from the standpoint of having been in their shoes.
Tom also founded Retail Maintenance Management (RMM), a Nationwide Facility Maintenance Firm, which he led for over 25 years and earned recognition in various business and trade publications for its exceptional service to the retail industry.
His diverse business background includes owning and operating car dealerships, car washes, laundromats, FedEx logistics routes, Provision & Tropicana routes, cleaning and service businesses, home health care agencies, retail stores, storage centers, and numerous real estate investments.
Tom has negotiated countless leases both as a commercial property owner/manager and a tenant.
He pursued his education at NYU and holds additional specialized trade certifications in the service industry.
When he’s not working, Tom enjoys spending time at the beach in the Hamptons and participates in hobbies like racquetball, pickleball, skiing, and fine dining.
He is currently working toward his Certified Business Intermediary (CBI) certification.
Tom’s vast experience and expertise make him a highly qualified professional in the field.
